The multidisciplinary Bachelor in Health Sciences, which extends over 6 semesters, combines perspectives from the
- bio-sciences
- social sciences
- humanities
and the subject of health. The bachelor’s programme conveys broad-based subject-specific and methodological competencies and teaches theoretical and practical competencies from the entire spectrum of the health sciences. The content of the individual modules is the responsibility of the various scientific disciplines and institutes represented at the Charité.
Possibility of part-time study
The degree programme in Health Sciences usually extends over six semesters (3 years). However, it is possible to apply for part-time study if there are reasons according to §22 paragraph 4 BerlHG. In this case, the study period extends to a maximum of 11 semesters. In order to improve the compatibility of study, career and family, students are supported by flexible study conditions and by institutional offers (e.g. family-friendly hours) as well as individual advice from the Charité.
